Still not back in school yet and I haven't been studying as much as I wanted to. I think I may have done too much traveling now that I think about it. I've been to Kansai (x2), Mie, and Okinawa, but I also plan to go to Korea next month before school starts with my roommate. Studying has been pretty difficult, but the traveling has been great. In terms of how I feel as a foreigner going around Japan, I haven't been getting stares as bad as I thought I would be. Many of the people have been incredibly nice and welcoming. We couldn't find our accommodations when we first arrived in Okinawa but the cab driver wouldn't let us out of the car until he knew we had a place to stay for the night. He eventually got us there and didn't charge us anything extra for the ride so I'm super thankful. At this point, I don't have many negative things to say about Japan. I haven't felt discriminated against, or had any terrible experiences traveling as of yet. A lot of people are feeling homesick around this time since it's so hard to travel back and forth between their home countries and Japan without breaking the bank. Hopefully I can get back in the studying mindset sooner than later.
